Gray spun out of the sixth spot in turn one on the restart. That moved Hanks into the top ten for the next restart. Moore tried the inside again on lap five to get underneath Smith in turn one to take the lead, and when the lap was completed, it stuck this time. Hagar was able to make the same inside move on Smith in turn one on lap six to take over the second spot.

Moore and Hagar were running turns one and two on the bottom groove, and then went top shelf on the cushion in turns three and four. The third caution flag of the race slowed the field on lap ten when Nathan Brown of Marion, AR spun in turn one.

When the field went back to green, Moore and Hagar put on a show for the lead. Hagar took the lead on lap 12, and Moore took the lead back on lap Both drivers swapped grooves on both ends of the race track with Hagar inside and Moore outside in turns one and two, while it was Moore on the inside and Hagar on the outside in turns three and four.

On lap 20, it was Hagar powering around the outside of Moore to take the lead coming off the fourth turn.

Hagar would line up 22nd and last in the starting line-up for the Flop The field settled into a race pace until lap 11 when the caution flag came out for Webb who collected the leader Skinner, who kept going despite getting airborne in the contact with Webb. Hagar moved into the tenth spot on lap Dale Howard and Hanks got together on lap 16, and Senter was there to drive by both of them to take over the second spot.

Hanks recovered to remain in third, but Dale Howard lost several positions before he could get back up to full speed. Skinner looked like he had victory in sight with five laps to go, but things can change quickly in a Sprint Car race. Skinner slowed off the pace on lap 20, as Senter sailed past to take the lead.

Skinner would shut down his race car on lap 21 to light up caution bulb with a broken steering, possibly a result of his lap 11 encounter with Webb.

Senter was able to hold to his own in the last five laps of the race, but all eyes were on Hagar, who restarted in the fifth spot. When Hanks got bogged down in heavy lapped traffic on lap 24, Howard went to the high groove, and Ainsworth dove for the inside in turn one. The lead trio was three-wide in turn two and hard racing caused contact being made by all three drivers.

Hanks was the meat in the Sprint Car sandwich, as Howard hooked him. Hanks spun to the top of the track, hit the outside concrete retaining wall, and flipped on his side to bring out the red flag. Howard pilled away from Ainsworth when the green flag came out, followed by the white flag, and then the checkered flag on the 25th tour. Marshall Skinner of Marion, AR passed Ainsworth for second in the green, white, checkered dash to the finish, and Ainsworth has to settle for third.

Riggins was also looking to become the first driver to sweep the North-South Shootout for a second time, after pulling the feat in By lap five, Riggins had closed in on Gray to challenge for the lead, but the hopes of continuing the streak for Riggins came to a crashing end on lap seven.

Bob Auld of Largo, FL spun in front of the leaders in turn two. Neither driver was injured, but both race cars were done for the evening. Moss went right to work, going to the cushion on the high side of Cherokee Speedway to challenge Gray for the lead. The field was slowed for a second time on lap ten when Tanner Witherspoon spun in turn three. Gray was able to put a little distance between himself and Moss, while Stillwaggon moved up to battle McLain for fourth.

Stillwaggon went to the top shelf and passed McLain for the fourth spot on lap Gray began to encounter lapped traffic on lap 17 and Moss closed in to challenge for the point.

Moss could use his high side momentum to pull alongside Gray entering the turns, but the leader had his own momentum to stay out front coming off the corners. Moss got a big run on Gray coming off turn two on lap 23, pulled alongside entering turn three, and he took the lead on the high side coming off the fourth turn. Gray tried to make an inside pass through turns one and two on lap 24, but Moss pulled away to seal the deal.

Behind the battle for the lead, Stillwaggon was able to pass Terry Witherspoon for third on lap After taking the lead from early race pacesetter Lance Moss of Cherryville, NC on lap seven, Riggins packed his bags, turned in the key and checked out on the field leaving only the top four drivers on the lead lap when the checkered flag fell. Riggins showed that when a man needs the money, he races hard.

I love racing here at my home track Carolina Speedway, and I want say to thanks the fans for their support. Riggins swept the North-South event in , and will try to become the first driver to sweep it twice in USCS history. Riggins went under the checkered flag with a full straightaway lead over Robbie Stillwagon of Burlington, NJ, and Moss ended up taking the third spot.

Moss took the lead followed by Jones, who started on the outside of the front row. The caution flag came out on lap one when Smith slowed in turn four with a mechanical issue and Hunter spun to avoid making contact with Smith. That necessitated a complete restart.

On the next green flag, Jones got sideways on the inside of turn one and that caused a chain reaction back through the pack that collected Auld and Bronzie Lawson IV of Southern Pines, NC. The second complete restart was a good one with Moss taking the lead with Jones in second, and Riggins hustling up from his sixth starting spot into third.

Riggins made quick work of Jones on lap two to move up the second spot, and Stillwagon dropped Jones to fourth on lap three. Riggins was all over Moss to challenge for the lead on lap five, and on lap six tried to get a run on the outside coming off the second turn. Moss moved up and Riggins had to get out of the throttle, as he ran out real estate. The Carolina Kid reloaded the guns on his 47 machine to take another shot at Moss on lap seven.

Riggins threw a textbook slide job maneuver through turns one and two on lap seven to take the lead. Once in the lead, Riggins then pulled away from the field. Riggins stay up on the cushion of clay on the high side of the race track, and he could power around lapped cars with ease.

The only thing that slowed him down was a lap 16 caution flag for a four-car tangle on the front straightaway. All drivers were O. Once the field went back to green flag action, Stillwagon got to the inside of Moss and passed him for the second spot coming off the fourth turn on lap By lap 20, Riggins had a full straightaway lead on Stillwagon, and maintained that advantage for the last ten laps of the race.

Turpen went to the inside groove to drive Mallett coming off the fourth turn of the opening lap to take over the third spot. While Riggins began to pull away, Turpen closed in on Schmidt to challenge for the second spot by lap five. Turpen was able to get an inside run on Schmidt coming off the second turn on lap nine, and scooted by to take over the second position. By this time, Riggins had opened up a half straightaway lead on the field. With ten laps to go, Riggins moved up on a tight three-car battle for sixth among McLain, Thomas, and Willingham.

While Riggins slowed his fast pace as the race leader to carefully and methodically find a way to put the three cars in front of him a lap down, Turpen charged to the rear nerf bar of Riggins sprint car to challenge for the lead on lap Riggins just kept covering the bottom groove of Dixie Speedway, and Turpen had no other groove available to successfully make a pass for the lead.

A packed house showed their appreciation of Swindell, who began his career at West Tennessee tracks as a young teenager back in the s, following in the footsteps of his father Sam Swindell.

As the crowd gathered around Victory Lane, Swindell took the time to thank them for coming, got reflective, and then did something not many expected.

At the drop of the green flag to start the race, Swindell took the lead with Hagar following from his outside front row starting spot in second, and Crawley hustling up from his sixth starting spot to take third.

Crawley got by Hagar for second on lap two, but Swindell was beginning to pull away. By lap four, Swindell caught the cars on the tail of the lead lap. The top five cars of Swindell, Crawley, Hagar, Howard and Webb remained the same for the first half of the race, with Swindell opening up a full straightaway lead over Crawley at one point.

But while the leader tried to weave his way through lapped traffic, Crawley and Hagar closed in. The red flag came out on lap 16 when Don Warren of Clarksville, TN spun in turn four, clipped the inside berm of the race track and tipped over on his side.

Warren was not injured. During the red flag period, Hagar went to the pits and was out for the evening with a broken torque tube. Analyst Geoffrey Gorer described dating as an American idiosyncrasy focusing on youth of college age and expressed in activities such as American proms. In contrast German speaking countries and the longstanding musical tradition there provided ample opportunity of persons of varying ages enjoying social dances, such as the Vienna Opera Ball and other occasions.

The German term of Stelldichein as translated by Joachim Heinrich Campes is used to signify dating when the age of consent to marriage was relatively high. German traditions to signify lovers who met in hiding were described with terms like Fensterln windowing or Kiltgang dawn stroll used in Bavaria and Switzerland.
